Title: .Net Architect

Location: Sacramento, CA

Project Length: 20 months

 

Minimum Qualifications:

•          Knowledge of the Microsoft .Net Framework.

•          Knowledge of the Microsoft SQL Server database platform.

•          Proven experience in this role on at least one project of similar size and complexity. The referenced Technical Architect (TA) role must have been as the primary architect.

•          Proven experience with development and integration projects that involve 24/7 online, high volume applications that are based on confidential data.

•          Proven experience with development of projects involving multiple tier application systems, integration and deployment of equivalent scope and complexity.

 

PREFERRED:

 

•          Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA, MCITP or MCM).

•          Microsoft Certified Architect (Technology-based: Database track) (MCA).

•          Familiarity with Microsoft Office productivity tools.

•          Knowledge of Joint Application Development (JAD) techniques to fully define the system requirements and identify those issues that need management attention.

•          Knowledge of the use of Rapid Application Development (RAD) techniques and prototyping to expedite system development.

•          Knowledge of the design, development, and operational impacts of the following:

-          Security issues related to Internet accessible databases containing personal information.

-          Availability, backup, recovery, and data integrity issues of 24/7 systems.

-          Performance issues related to very large databases and high volume online systems.

•          Experience providing TA services on a comparable project for a CA state agency is desirable.

•          Familiarity with IV&V and IPOC oversight services and how these services collaborate to ensure successful project outcomes.

•          Familiarity with election systems and the business processes surrounding them will be helpful.

•          Knowledge of CA State IT Project Oversight Framework

•          Knowledge of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) application development standards

•          Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) standards (version 3).

•          Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle

•          Knowledge of Software Engineering Institute standards.
