Seeking DataStage Developer
Location: Richardson, TX
Duration: 2+ Months Contract
Rate: $40-45/hr C2C
Assignment Description: Local candidates
Experience working with the IBM DataStage tool set, including the creation of Datastage applications, connecting to multiple source systems and the creation of target load files.
This role is responsible for extracting the meta data from its sources, programmatically integrating it, and loading it into the meta data repository. Individuals in this role should have a strong background in programming and SQL. Experience with company's systems, architectures, and methodologies is highly desired. They must have a thorough understanding of meta data sourcing and meta data acquisition layers of the meta data architecture. These individuals should also have experience in system testing and be thoroughly familiar with the various testing strategies.
Skills Required:
5+ years of ETL
Understanding of the basic principles of data management, data stewardship, data governance, meta-data management, and data integrity and quality.
Understand how meta data can be leveraged to support a formal application development lifecycle.
Strong analytical skills related to data.
Ability to work proactively and independently.
Ability to quickly understand and use new technologies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively.
Experience with meta-data based ETL processes and the design and implementation of meta-data driven solutions.
