{Ajax-DOT-NET-FAQ} (Job) Websphere Engineer - Hartford, CT

This is for my direct client opening for Websphere Engineer - Hartford, CT. This is a 3+ month's contract position. The Hourly rate is DOE

 

Description: Websphere Engineer needed, but we really need a consultant, who has a solid understanding of J2EE and its concepts.  I want someone who will be able to provide guidance and direction to our application development teams, not from a coding perspective, but from a J2EE and best practices perspective.  We will need someone who is familiar with SOA/SOI who can clearly discuss / describe what it is, why it (web services, etc) should be used and when.  I am looking for someone who can also dig deep into application issues (from both an infrastructure and application perspective) to assist in troubleshooting and problem determination as well as recommend fixes. 

 

Knowledge of the following additional products is a plus, but not required:
* IHS
* WPS
* WBSF
* DataPower
* SiteMinder
Experience: 3--5 years experience designing, configuring and managing WebSphere Application Servers in a complex, multi-vendor web environment.
