Summary
Sr. Business Analyst candidate is needed to support the business area with the Single Family Build-out component of the Mortgage Loan Integrated System (MLIS), which is requested by FHFA in December 2009.
MLIS is intended to support the Office of Capital Supervision in the development of future risk-based capital measures and other analytical research. The data submission includes inventory-level loan, collateral, borrower attributes, and performance information for both Single Family and Multifamily lines of business. Upon completion, MLIS would replace Historical Loan Performance (HLP), Enterprise Portfolio Snapshot (EPS) SF & MF data components, as well as other ad-hoc requests.
Statement: Main responsibilities include
• Research data anomalies
• Work with the business areas & FAST team to identify and document data requirements in terms of data sourcing and transformation
• Execute validation checks, and work with the business areas for on any necessary corrections.
• Write and run database queries as needed
• Facilitate and generate business procedure and control documents
• Document and validate business processes, user requirements and business rules for MLIS data submission
• Perform researching, testing and compile supporting documents as needed
• Escalate issues to management as needed
Deliverables • Documentation of data findings.
• Produce procedure and control documents when needed
• Support the production of artifacts that include but are not limited to;
o Business Requirements and Business Rule Spreadsheet
o User acceptance test plans, test cases, test scripts, and UAT results
• Provide status reports as requested basis
Skill level: Senior (7+ yrs)
Skills: Experience
• Sr. Business Analyst with 8+ years of experience
• Strong verbal/written communication and organization skills
• Familiar with change management process and standards
• Knowledge of development life cycle and methodologies (SDLC/AM-CP)
• Strong data mining and analytical capability to independently research issues in a timely manner
• Experience with enterprise database management system such as Sybase, DB2 or Oracle experience.
• Previous secondary mortgage market experience desired.
• Extensive and proven experience writing requirements, test plans, etc.
• Proficient in SQL, MS Access, Excel, SAS to query database and other data files (i.e. SAS and Text file)
• Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Prior Freddie Mac experience a plus
Comments:
Analyst will need to sign a non-disclosure agreement due to the access of PPI data for this project.
