Job Title: SAN Engineer
location : Nashville, TN
Duration : 3 month contract to Hire


Required Skills :
Ensure continued smooth operation of the global backup infrastructure and be responsible for all Storage/backup configuration and troubleshooting
Updating and maintain SAN/NAS/DAS
Support and lead implementation of growing storage infrastructure
Monitor SLA's from vendors to ensure best service is provided
Manage the backups in a 400 server environment using Commvault
Manage the storage for the enterprise, consisting of about 80 TB of (IBM DS and Netapp Storage)
Manage IBM SVC and TPC
Collaborate with other team members and groups to identify and develop scalable backup designs, solutions and policy recommendations
Participate in "on call" schedule providing support, solving the more complex Storage trouble
We are actively speaking with applicants that have a minimum of:
 
Requirements:
BS/MS in EE/CS/CE or equivalent experience.
3-5 years of experience on an enterprise-level Backup and Storage admin engineering or design roles.
operational experience with Linux, AIX and Windows
Experience with Brocade SAN switches and other technologies for fabric management
Storage/Backup certifications such as Commvault System engineer/BCSD/BCFA/BCAF (or equivalent training/experience) are preferred but not required
Strong written and oral communications skills.
10% Travel is required
