We are looking for Storage Area Network Administration/Architect

Location: Charlotte, NC

Duration: 6 months

Skills:

·         over 7 years experience with SAN technology, experience with various SAN products, NetApp and vfiler technologies, EMC Clariion/VNX and Symmetrix DMX and VMAX; HP EVAx000 and XP Series; Promise VTrak Ex10 Series.

·         SAN experience is inclusive of Fabric Switches and Directors with products such as Cisco MDS 9xxx Series Switches and Directors (NXOS) and Brocade Silkworm fabric switches.

·         As SAN administrator task consist of fabric host to storage zoning using Cisco Fabric Manager and Brocade Fabric Manager, SAN level storage configuration and partitioning using EMC NaviSphere, Symmetrix Control Manager, HP Command View and Promise VTrak Management Console.

·         Storage presentation to host, host OS storage configuration and partitioning (including clustered environments), host OS storage multi-path technologies (active-standby or active-active) via 3rd party and native solutions.

·         Storage performance monitoring, storage optimizations, storage resizing, site-to-site storage replication using industry standard methods such as EMC Recover Point, SRDF and SANtap for SAN to SAN migrations and Snapshot retention.

·         Protocol of storage included FC, FCoE, CIFS, NFS, iSCSI. Understanding implemention and appropriate usages of SAN thin provisioning. Troubleshoot storage issues and log resolutions on various OS platforms (Windows, Linux, UNIX and AIX). Generate reports of SAN storage utilization and performance.    

 
Server Virtualization: Support VM infrastructure using various VMWare products (ESX 4.0-5.1) for both Test and Production Environments while maintaining fresh knowledge of new and upcoming technologies in Server Virtualization.
