Position: SQL DBA

 

Location: El Segundo, CA

 

Duration: 6 Months+

 

Skills & Job Requirements:

 

 

·         Minimum 6+ years of experience

·         Creation and Maintenance of Database Instances

·         Production Support

·         Execution of backup/recovery procedures

·         Database Refresh

·         Event, database performance and availability monitoring

·         24x7 support including scheduled and emergency night and weekend work

·         Follow the IT service management guideline while working with tools like 'remedy'

·         Preparedness to work in Shifts in rotation

·         Logical and Physical database design and Implementation

·         SQL 2000/2005/2008 – Replication, Log Shipping, Clustering

·         SQL Server 2000 /2005 database administration experience.

·         Experience in other version also preferred.

·         Install, configuring, applying patches to SQL server

·         Backup and restore of databases.

·         Performance tuning experience

·         Experience in DTS Packages

·         Good experience in Replication, Log shipping and clustering

·         Logical and Physical database design and Implementation

·         Application DBA Exposure

·         Development support/ debugging procedures

·         MSSQL DBA Certification a plus

·         Win NT/2000/2003 administration experience is desired.

·         Good Oral and Written communication skills
