Job Responsibilities:
* Pro-actively monitoring, trouble-shooting and tuning of the systems at the SAP and at database levels.
* Install, upgrade and maintain SAP and related servers, printers, third party hardware/software.
* Implementation of OSS notes, kernel patches and support packages.
* Execution of transports throughout the SAP landscapes.
* Providing technical and architectural support to other departments and project teams.
* Working with appropriate resources to ensure that the maximum possible system availability is achieved.
* Performing recoveries from both online and offline backups.
* Assisting other areas with Technical change to include management of Basis transactions and functions in support of any change effort
* Design, implement and test SAP backup and recovery procedures
* Monitor and work to improve overall SAP system performance* Provide technical assistance to SAP developers and functional configuration experts
Experience:
* A bachelor's degree in information technology or related field
* Minimum of 6 – 7 years of experience as SAP Basis administrator in AIX and DB2 and Oracle environments
* Work experience in the SAP ECC 6.0, CRM, BI and Enterprise Portal
* Knowledge of SAP solution manager
* Good Analytic and communication skills
* Knowledge in problem/change management process
