Role Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for designing, implementing and testing core Java web-based solutions using web and SOA technologies.
Provides leadership for a group of developers by planning and monitoring their work, setting best practices for technical design documents and coding, performing design and code reviews, and coaching junior team members during the Design or Build phases of the application.
Solves the most technically challenging problems around the design or the implementation of the system.
Responsible for the overall detailed planning and execution during the Technical Design, Build, and Test phases.
Communicates with Business Analysts team and conducts joint requirement gathering sessions to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
Communicates with other J2EE Tech Leads, senior developers and client teams (Web Services team, Business team, Test team, PMO, etc.) to work in collaboration towards the successful implementation of the application system.
Along with the Project Managers identifies and mitigates project risks like scope increase, resource allocation problems, and schedule overruns.
Communicates project status to Project Manager and client.
Quickly learns new technologies or products used in the implementation of the system.

Java/J2EE - Required Skills:
7 to 10+ years Minimum Experience
Expert level knowledge and hands-on experience in core Java, J2EE based applications and Object Oriented technologies including design patterns and UML. - Must Have
Strong WebServices/SOA experience (JAX-WS, soapUI)- Java SE 6 Platform experience. - Must Have.
Strong Struts 2 – Absolutely required (in depth technical questions on this to be confirmed) - Framework experience. - Must Have
Java Server Faces (JSF) experience in Lieu of Struts 2 experience.
Strong  Java Servlet  experience.
Strong Java Server Pages (JSP) experience.
Strong EJB3.0 or JPA/API, Hibernate, or OPenJPA experience. - Must Have 
Proficient in Spring and AOP. - Must Have 
Solid Design and Object Oriented Application Development (OOAD) experience.
Experience with automated build tools like Maven.
Experience on Unit Testing (Junit4, Mocking Framework).
Knowledgeable in SQL and Oracle 11g.
Desirable experience in ClearCase and RAD.
Must possess strong communication skills as they will be expected to interact with both business and technical resources.

SQL-Server DBA - Job Responsibilities:
•Provide primary support for UnitedHealth Group SQL Server databases.
•Plan and design new SQL Server implementations, including database definition, structure, documentation, and long-range requirements.
•Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to perform in all of the basic database management skills of database administration, web connectivity, physical structure, overall architecture, and database analysis.
•Design storage strategies and establish standards for complex database environments, physical structures, and specialized database applications.

•Experience with server optimization and consolidation.
•Experience with High Availability (HA) clustering (Windows and/or Veritas).
•Proven SQL tuning experience.
•Detailed knowledge of the Windows Server platform.
•Four-year degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
•Effective verbal communication skills and documentation skills in both business and technical areas.
