This is my direct-client opening for a Web QA Consultant located in Anaheim, CA. This is a 2-month contract and the rate depends on experience.
The Web Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for performing quality assurance testing and assuring the quality of our clients digital web proprieties. This position is responsible for reviewing requirement specifications and translating to both manual and automated test plans and use cases in addition to execution test plans and communication test results to project management. Submit's, tracks and assists with prioritization of defects and bugs and ensures defects are resolved on schedule. Works closely with project management, business analysts, developers and designers.
Primary Duties
Review project and development requirements to ensure requirements are clearly defined and testable
Analyze requirements and documented use cases to ensure all functionality is well documented
Design test strategy, test plans and test cases for each project and requested deliverables
Conduct formal test case review with project team
Execute manual test cases and automation scripts to ensure functionality is working per requirements
Communicate written test results to project team
Assist with analysis of defects to determine root cause
Submit detailed, well documented defects into ticket system or via document as required
Manage status of logged tickets, performing iterative testing and ensure tickets are resolved in a timely manner
Escalate issues to project management as necessary
Provide regular reports on testing and resolution process including supported metrics
Create testing and QA documentation for each required project
Experience
3-5 Years experience with Quality Assurance testing of consumer facing websites
3-5 Years experience in end-to-end testing including integration testing
2 or more years with web based front-end languages including HTML and JavaScript
2 or more year with automated testing tools such as Selenium
Experience working with front-end web debugging tools such as Charles
BS in Information Systems or equivalent experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Great organization, research and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and within team environment
