Senior .NET Programmer Analyst
Location: Washington, DC
Position type: Contract- To-Hire
Rate: DoE
Client: Truist
The role of the Senior Programmer Analyst is to provide full life cycle application support to existing applications as well as participate in the analysis, design, and development of new applications. This position requires development experience with technologies including ASP.NET, MVC (or Ruby on Rails), C#, VB.NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Ajax. The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide hands on development support for both existing and new applications
Work closely with a small team of developers
Participate in the design of sophisticated system components
Unit test code and work with QA team to test and fix system components
Update and maintain system documentation
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field from a four year college or university
Requested Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
5+ years experience in web development
Experience in ASP.NET MVC (or Rails) and Entity Framework 4.1 (or comparable ORMs)
Experience with software versioning and source control
Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum
Excellent communicator
Ability to learn quickly and make an immediate contribution
Strong analytical skills and decision-making ability
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Interested in doing meaningful work that makes a difference
