Job Description:        Responsible for the design and development of IT solutions based on business requirements documents.

 

Assists business analysts by clarifying requirements during requirements development.

 

Effective at analyzing business requirements and current system behavior and collaborating to create system design specification documents includign functional specifications, system use cases, mock-ups and so forth.

 

Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

Strong presentation skills desired.

 

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience in similar work environment. Minimum of 5+ years of IT work experience focused in software design with emphasis on RUP and UML. Experience with several of the following COBOL, CICS, DB2, MQ, J2EE, WebSphere, Oracle.

 

BCBS / Claims Processing /ITS experince a big plus!

Deliverable:   Develops high-level design and functional specifications, produces deliverables related to the project(s) assigned and assists in post implementation support.

Knowledge of software development life cycle

Consultant will be responsible for ETL work.   Project focus is to design and develop ETL Datastage jobs, data cleansing, adhere to enterprise ETL standards and specifications in design document. Candidate should have strong datawarehouse and ETL background especially with IBM DataStage. At least 5 years of working experience in a LARGE enterprise environment.

 

Technical Skills REQUIRED:
IBM DataStage version 7.5 or higher, DB2 z/OS, DB2 UDB, Strong SQL and Unix scripting, XML scripting is must. Good communication and quick learner. Scheduling tools such as AutoSys.

 

Technical Skills Preferred
Experience of handling mainframe files using CFF stage of DataStage. Familiar with Datamodeling.
