Job Title: Java/J2EE Consultant
Location: Pittsburgh,PA
Duration: 12 Month Contract

The candidate will:
 investigate application issues, determine technical solutions, and make enhancements to existing applications
 troubleshoot, debug and solve technology integration and performance problems
collaborate with architects to ensure that the products and components work together, meet defined standards, and meet the objectives and performance goals as defined in the requirements.  

The candidate shall be:
strong in the area of J2EE technologies
a good team player
able to communicate with customers to work on functional and technical requirements.
 
The candidate should have:
application development experience in the following areas
manufacturing functional domain
application integration
web and application security
performance
quality
operational aspects
 
Years of Work Experience:
Must possess 4 - 6 years of overall JAVA/Web technology related IT

Experience
Personal Skills Required:
Excellent communication ability to be able to communicate effectively with clients, with team members and with management as needed
Ability to independently research and solve technical issues
Ability to meet targeted deadlines with minimal supervision
Ability to follow and support USS standards for design, development, implementation and documentation
 
Technical Skills Required:
Sound knowledge in J2EE and good understanding of the J2EE design patterns
Sound experience with most of:  JSP, JSF, Spring, Hibernate, Servlets, JDBC, JMS, JAXB, JDOM, AJAX, XML with IBM MQ Series and Web Services technology
Self starter in developing new technical skills;  able to demonstrate strong technical growth
Proficient in the use of software development tools (IBM Rational Application Developer, Clear Case, Clear Quest) and techniques in software projects
 
Additional Skills/Qualities not required but would be a plus:
Exposure to the SOA methodologies
Exposure to web security features
Exposure to WebSphere portal or java portlets.
