Description:

This position is part of the ET Data Engineering Team. The candidate's responsibilities to provide support to the FA Branch Redesign which will include Data architecture, engineering standards and creates best practice technical architecture models utilizing knowledge of industry and technical trends. The candidate will be part of a team that will evaluate, architect and engineer an enterprise premium voice solution using Switching, Routing, Wireless, and Wide Area Acceleration systems.

Responsible for overall design, staging, configuration, implementation, and support for data networking products as necessary. Identifies and evaluates technical architecture to ensure solutions satisfy business requirements and performance goals.

 

The ideal candidate will have 10 years experience with a technology vendor or systems integrator designing, and implementing the following Data Networking Products and technologies:

- IP Routing ? BGP, MP-BGP, OSPF, RIP, MPLS, L2-VPNs.

- IP Routing Platforms ? ISRg2, ASR1K, CRS-1/4/8.

- Switching Platforms ? Cat3K, 4K, 6K, SUP6e/6le/7e/7le/8e SUP32, SUP720.

-WAAS ? Cisco Platforms, WCCP,

-Wireless ? Cisco and Aruba product lines.

 

Qualifications:

-Extensive knowledge of Routing protocols and platforms ? BGP, OSPF, RIP, MP-BGP, MPLS, L2-VPN's, Multicast (PIM SM/DM/SSM) ASR1K, ISRg2, CRS-1/4/8.

-Extensive knowledge of Switching concepts, platforms ? Spanning-tree protocol (RSTP, PVSTP+, 802.1q trunking), CEF, ARP, DHCP snooping, TCAM, Dynamic ARP inspection, IGMPv2/3, 3k, 4k, 6k platforms, SUP720/32, SUP6E/6LE/7E/7LE/8E.

-Wide Area Application Services (WAAS) ? Cisco/Riverbed implementations, WCCP, ICA.

- Extensive Knowledge of TCP/IP concepts ? TCP Slow-start, Dup-Acks, Retransmits, SACK, Subnetting, Supernetting

- Wireless ? Familiarity with Cisco, Aruba hardware and design concepts.

- Testing Suite ? IXIA, Spirent, Shundra, RFC2544 and IMIX/EMIX and test setup.

- Wifi Experience

This position develops and executes automated tests against new or modified applications and systems. This position works with a variety of groups across multiple departments to improve, streamline, integrate, and communicate the automated test activities across projects and release cycles        
               
               
Essential Functions:

• Work as a member of the Test Automation Services team supporting the unit and lead

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis skills
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and ideas in a simple and understandable business language

Find a failure in an app or system

Isolate the conditions in which the failure can be repeated

Walk through execution, statement after statement, looking at parameter values or hash tables in their Assembly representation
