Duration: 6 Month+
Skills & Job Requirements:
SQL DBA with 3-4 years of overall experience
• Handling database performance issues. Proactively determine improvement opportunities and data quality enhancement.
• Database backup/restore strategy, compliance, scheduling jobs, integration & documentation, production and pre-production technical support,
• Handling & setting up database mirroring
• Setting up database replication.
• Problem management , debugging and root cause analysis, preventive maintenance,
• Incident management, communicate application teams.
• Planning & managing weekend changes in production environment. Knowledge of ITIL processes.
• Periodically Monitor Production databases from performance perspective.
• Setting SQL server environment & coordinating patch installation.
• Work with application teams on critical production issues.
3. Position: Storage Administrator-L3
Location: Oak Brooke, IL
Duration: 6 Month+
Skills & Job Requirements:
Primary Skills:
• Storage & Backup administration (SAN,NAS and SAN) & Tape
• EMC Certification must
Role & Responsibilities:
• Person will perform L3 activities of Storage Administration.
• Person will be using SSH based remote console, Native administrative tools of EMC and HP storage devices, Native commands of SAN and NAS devices.
• Will perform storage interface activities on Open systems ( HP UNIX & Wintel )
• Collaborate with various application areas on design requirements and interfaces.
• Configuration ,monitoring & analyzing event, alert logs and appropriate actions taking, strong trouble shooting skills in storage environment and solving problems in a very short time,
• Pro-active measures and preventive measure for storage problems/errors.
• Meeting SLA in time to fix the errors and problems.
• Storage controller firmware up gradation, Disk controller firmware up gradation,
• SAN design configuration,
• preparing scripting tools for automation
• Monitor STORAGE systems and check for failures
• Check disk space on STORAGE systems above thresholds
• Creation of STORAGE user accounts
• Log of email alerts into Remedy
• Sign off of daily checks.
• Create weekly capacity reports
• Simple RFC's and releases driven by process
• Investigate and resolve Remedy Tickets
• Respond to email alerts from subsystems.
• Regular checking of STORAGE console management solution
• Meeting SLA in time to fix the errors and problems
• Problem determination and resolution on a 24x7 basis.
• Perform system administration activities on a Production
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, Infrastructure staff and Applications areas to determine business and technical requirements.
Profile:
• EMC Storage Administrator
• Experienced in Production Server Environment.
• Proficient in SSH based Remote Console Operations
• Experience in using EMC native administrative tools
• Experience in Enterprise/Mid range EMC Storage ( Symetrix, clarion, Celerra) SAN, NAS
• Should have good Documentation skills
• Experienced in EMC Directors and Switches
• Expertise in Volumes/LUNs creation, storage space management,
• Configuration ,monitoring & analyzing event, alert logs and appropriate actions taking, strong trouble shooting skills in storage environment and solving problems in a very short time,
• Pro-active measures and preventive measure for storage problems/errors.
• Should have experience in managing Storage attached to open systems ( Hp-Unix, Windows, etc)
• Strong depth knowledge of analysis for storage backend problems.
