Title: Business Systems Analyst with Check free Frontier Recon plus

Location: McLean, VA

Length: 7 Months+

 

 

This is a Business Systems Analyst contract position in the Controller's IT area supporting the Check free Frontier Recon Plus application. This person will work with the business and IT teams to lead and deliver efforts to develop and document business requirements, system configuration, testing and deployment tasks.

 

Other responsibilities will include coordinating and delivering small enhancement projects, developing and enhancing system documentation, working with IT technical designers in developing system requirements and developing/executing test plans. This position will also work with Integrated Production Services (IPS), as needed, to resolve production related issues.

 

Required:

 

*** MUST HAVE 3+ years' experience working with Check free Frontier Recon Plus ***

•BS/BA or equivalent, with 5+ years' experience in developing business & system requirements within a Financial Services environment

•Experience with managing and/or coordinating small to large size projects. Overseeing the work of up to 4 project BSA's.

•Effective interfacing with business stakeholders and determining business needs

•Able to build relationships and effectively interface with programmers, analysts, project managers and other technical associates to explain requirements and recommended solutions. •Proficient in elicitation and documentation of business, system, interface and data requirements

•Working knowledge of Reconciliation and Escheatment processing

•Experience with requirements prioritization and traceability techniques

•Ability to perform impact analysis

•Effective in developing test plans and test cases based on business and system requirements

•Solid written and oral communication skills. Proficient in use of productivity tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)

•Able to independently structure work tasks, track and report on progress to stakeholders.

•Excellent organization skills with ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks

 

Desired:

 

•Previous experience with ETL and data movement

•Working knowledge of Financial and Accounting processes and systems

•Knowledge of web technologies (IIS, WebLogic, Java)

•Working knowledge of databases in general with experience in Oracle and MS Sql server in particular. Able to write and troubleshoot SQL queries.

•Previous experience with Windows based applications

•Previous experience using Mercury Quality Center

Position Purpose
The Business Intelligence Developers responsible for working within the BI team to deliver reporting and dashboard solution for the business needs. The developer must work well in a team setting and have excellent organizational, prioritization, communication, and time management skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate accountability, flexibility and adaptability to handle multiple and changing priorities and be able to successfully collaborate with development teams, technology groups, and key business partners
 
Key Responsibilities
·         Performing analysis, design, development and implementation of new reporting requirements and providing estimates to support timelines and deliverables.
·         Designing and building grids, graphs, scorecards, standard reports and dashboards.
·         Creating and/or enhancing report objects, metrics, filters and prompts.
·         Validating report results against requirement deliverables for accuracy.
·         Troubleshooting and analyzing data issues within reports
·         Collaborating with business partners to provide technical report assistance
·         Following and enhancing BI standards and best practices across the team
·         Ensuring optimal end user performance by establishing and consistently executing overall system performance assessment processes and associated action plans.
 
Required Knowledge:
·         5+ Years of Information Technology experience with a strong focus on Data Warehousing and Enterprise Reporting solutions.
·         3+ years experience with developing applications, reports, and dashboards using MicroStrategy is REQUIRED.
·         3+ years experience with developing reportsusing Microsoft SSRS is REQUIRED.
·         Strong, hands on experience with MicroStrategy SDK programming is preferred.
·         MicroStrategy certification or familiarity with version 9 is a ststrong plus.

·         3+ years experience working with data warehouses is required.

·         Strong SQL skills and experience with performance tuning are required.

                                               

Experience Required:                   

·         Extensive hands-on technical experience using data warehouse, business intelligence and analytics products.

·         Experience in working with building customer centric data models from disparate, siloed sources.

·         Experience in data analysis and mapping.

·         Expertise in the creation and usage of metadata.

·         Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is strongly preferred.

·         Comprehensive understanding of systems, applications, and/or networks so that practical solutions can be provided that factor system performance, usability, quality, cross system interdependencies, and scalability.

·         Excellent written, verbal, and documentation skills required. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with the ability to appropriately prioritize tasks as needed.
